Mile 2,150 Barrington, RI
It's good to be home. It feels like we've been on the road for months now, not just 13 days. Both shows in NYC were great. The night we got into town, we met up with my mom, dad, sister, and cousins. After a lovely dinner, we were slowly making our way back to our cousin's apt. when we took a slight detour down Broadway, where the street fair was to take place the following day. All up and down the street were huge banners with my name on them. It was very exciting. We got great sunny weather for the fair and some pouring rain for my show at CBGB's. That one went well also, though I warn fellow musicians, the employees of CB's are big fat jerks. Not nice people. The sound system there is great. My dad's college buddy videotaped the show and interviewed me afterwards so I am hoping to get that video up and streaming on my website fairly soon.
And now I'm relaxing in my home town. Thanks to my dad and his editor friend at the local paper, there was a big honkin' article about my tour in the Barrington Times. Click here if you'd like to take a look. Tomorrow night is my show in Providence and it sounds like we'll have a nice crew out for that one. I'm especially excited about playing at Cafe Zog because that was my old hang out in high school. My friends and I used to go every Tuesday to see jazz and sip our fancy espresso drinks. I always hoped that someday I would get to play there and now, 10 years later, I finally will.
